HEALTH AND SAFETY UPDATE

September 10th 2020

For a couple of months now, barbers and hair salons have been allowed to re-open, under certain conditions. I’ve put together a dreary update on how things have changed for us at the shop and what to expect when visiting. It is vital that both barber and client adhere to ther new requirements, and that everyone knows what things will be like and how we’ve prepped for the return. These thrilling articles are therefore absolutely necessary.
Let’s begin. 
Please remember it’s nothing personal…

Upon entry - 

•  Face coverings are now a legal requirement
•    We largely run on an appointment basis, please book online, message or call the shop line. Walk-ins are available but only on specified days. We'll let you know on instagram and through booksy notifications.
•    You’ll only be allowed entry at the time of your appointment, not before, to keep numbers as low as possible in the shop at any one time
•    Please come alone if possible. Those with children will need to ensure the children stay with them for the duration. 
•    Your temperature will be checked with a non-contact device upon entry. Fever temperatures cannot be allowed entry
•    If you or anyone you bring show signs of illness, you will have to rearrange.
•    Once inside please take a seat on the black sofa, or your barbers chair if they're ready
•    We cannot offer drinks at this time, but MIME (opposite) have everything you could want and they’re substantially nicer than us
•    Magazines, foosball and the PS4 are unavailable at this time also so please consider bringing entertainment for any kiddos
•    Your barbers chair, tools and their PPE will be cleaned and changed accordingly
•    There is hand gel, and hand wash available around the shop.

Your cut – 
•    We’re definitely smiling under the masks, vinyl and layers of plastic. Especially on hot days
•    We’ll have fresh gear and surfaces will be cleansed
•    We are offering beard trims still, but no hot towel services. 
•    Please keep all personal belongings with you at all times
•    Please ensure your hair is freshly washed. 
•    You’ll be able to pay and rebook as normal after your appointment
•    No handshakes I’m afraid, elbow bumps only here my guys.

That about sums the wonderful new rules.

As for what you will find in the shop, we have added some exciting extra safety features for your pleasure;
•    Hand sanitizers and hand wash are available for use around the shop.
•    Tape markers have been placed, in case you arrive with someone else and have to queue.
•    Protective Perspex screens between chairs
•    Tissues are available should you need them. 

•    All staff will be in fresh PPE
•    Surfaces around heavy traffic areas have been emptied to minimize contact with and/or improve cleanliness on resistant items.
